DeMar DeRozan has plied his craft on college and professional hardwoods largely in Kobe Bryant footwear ( save an infamous time in the Air Jordan X). Following the untimely death of the husband, father and basketball legend, his daughter and 7 others in a tragic helicopter crash in January 2020, Kobes quick became the most worn shoes in the Association. However for DeRozan, wearing Kobes was business as usual; Nike seemed to recognize this as the new deal the Bulls’ star forward signed an extension with the brand that kept him as the fact of the Kobe Brand.
DeRozan has continued to wear a plethora of Kobe models in a variety of player exclusive colorways, including this Kobe VI Protro.
It sports a monochromatic red aesthetic, with the white Kobe signature on the external heel counter and the lighter tint of red for the side Swooshes.
The look is completed by a red midsole and matching outsole. Unfortunately, at this juncture, there doesn’t seem to be any indication of a retail release for these.
